Social media has the power to make almost anything go viral, including diamond testers. While otherwise looking like lackluster handheld gadgets, the diamond testers went viral after people found they determined the authenticity of gemstones by just touching them with the tester. So Simone Biles’ Gold Over America squad mate Ian Gunther couldn’t pass up the opportunity to test the gymnastics icon and her husband’s extensive diamond accessory collection.
With the 2024 Gold Over America Tour behind them, the gymnasts are posting some memorable moments from the tour. So Gunther posted a video of himself testing the over $370,000 worth of diamond accessories that Simone Biles and her husband sported. First on the list was Biles’ $63,739 (estimated) GOAT necklace, followed by her diamond earring.
Then came Jonathan Owens, who Gunther described as “iced” because of the multiple diamond accessories Owens wore, including his diamond-encrusted teeth. “It it real?” asked Gunther, to which Owens responded, “We’re gonna find out.” Thankfully, “The Owens” passed the diamond test with flying colors.
