Cardi B and her estranged husband, Offset, have been sued over unpaid rent and causing ‘significant’ damages to the Beverly Hills home the pair had been renting since early 2022.
The lawsuit comes shortly after The Bodak Yellow rapper, 31, recently confirmed her split from the Blame It On Set hitmaker, 32 – after they tied the knot back in 2017.
Documents obtained by TMZ on Friday state that both Cardi and Offset left the lavish house in October without any notice, and were allegedly behind in both rent and utility payments.
The owners of the residence have also claimed that the former couple left behind ‘significant property damage.’
Some of the damages include scratches on the tile flooring, broken furniture as well as ‘burn marks’ on items such as tables and cabinets.

The new lawsuit comes amidst Cardi B and Offset’s split – which first came to light earlier this month in December.
The performers have welcomed two children during the course of their tumultuous relationship: daughter Kulture, five, and son Wave, two.
The pair caused speculation that their marriage was on the rocks when they unfollowed each other on Instagram – shortly after the songstress uploaded a cryptic message on the social media platform.
At the time, she took to her stories and simply penned to her fans and followers, ‘You know sometimes you just outgrow relationships.’
Soon after, she appeared on an Instagram Live and expressed that she wanted to make the new year all about herself, per TMZ.
‘Career-wise and financially and personal life, I know where I wanna be at next year. You know what I’m saying? You gotta rid of dead weight, and when it comes to dead weight,’ she expressed in the clip.

‘We always want to protect their image. We just want to protect people. Like how would they feel or how would life [be without me] for them? F*** that,’ the performer stated. ‘Next year is gonna be all about me.’
Cardi B – whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar Cephus – later took to Instagram to confirm the split, per E! News.
The I Like It rapper revealed to her fans and followers during an Instagram Live that she had ‘been single for a minute now,’ but admitted that she didn’t ‘know how to tell the world.’
Despite the separation, the star positively expressed that she was ‘curious for a new life, for a new beginning.’

‘This n***a really like to play games with me when I’m at my most vulnerable time. When I’m not the most confident. He like to play games with me because he knows I’m not an easy girl.’
She added, ‘Yesterday, I could have been out. I could have been chilling. I could have been this and that. He knows I’m in my house. He knows that I’m chilling. He knows I’m not doing the most, and I really been sparing you. I really been sparing you.’
The WAP hitmaker proceeded to claim Offset had been doing her ‘dirty’ for ‘so many f**king years’ while she helped his ‘motherf**king a**.’
‘Not even a f**king thank you that I got from you b**ch a**. And it’s so crazy that I gotta go to the f**king internet because whenever the f**k I tell you something you don’t take s**t seriously,’ she concluded.
The fiery rant was notably reposted on Baller Alert’s Instagram.
