Kourtney Kardashian shared a powerful message against diet culture as she continues to embrace her postpartum body since giving birth to her son Rocky.
Seven months after giving birth to her fourth child, who she shares with husband Travis Barker, the reality star, 45, shared an important message with her more than 223 million followers.
On Saturday morning, the Poosh founder shared a photo of a meme of a woman on a scale with text that read: ‘I’ve finally reached my goal weight of don’t f**king care. My body is the least interesting thing about me.’
Mood [heart hands emoji],’ she wrote over the image on her Instagram Story.
Since welcoming her latest addition, the TV personality has been open about sharing tips to other new moms and not always feeling comfortable in her own skin.
This spring, she shared a touching note to other women adjusting to their body post-pregnancy.
The mom of four and Poosh founder gently reminded new moms to ignore the ‘pressure’ to get back to their pre-pregnancy body, and noted that it isn’t ‘realistic.’
Kourtney wrote: ‘Dear new mommies, Your body is beautiful at all stages. During pregnancy as we are glowing and growing, postpartum as we are healing and shrinking, and then that period I find the hardest as our bodies are still adjusting.’
Adding: ‘And if you’re breastfeeding, that’s a whole other part of it. I try to be kind to myself as my body finds a new normal. The pressure put on us to bounce back when everything is new and different isn’t realistic.’
‘Life is beautiful, you are beautiful. Just a little reminder (for me too). XOXO,’ she concluded, also adding a white and blue heart.
The Instagram slideshow pictures she shared featured Kourtney wearing a black bikini while grinning in the ocean.
In May, she admitted that she was ‘not feeling ready’ to do a photoshoot in a tight dress for The Kardashians three months after giving birth to Rocky.
‘I was 3 months postpartum and not feeling quite ready for a big shoot like this where there’s lots and lots of people watching me all day,’ she captioned a slideshow of behind-the-scenes photos from her publicity shoot for the fifth season of the Hulu show.
She added that ‘even though’ her ‘baby boy was with’ her ‘all day on set’ that it didn’t feel the same when she was ‘covered in makeup, in high heels and wearing a dress versus’ their snuggly days at home in pajamas.
‘But something I’ve been doing lately is shifting my mind set and thinking of the positives! I am so blessed to be able to bring my baby to work,’ she told fans.
‘How fun to get to be glammed up when I’ve been home for months in pajamas.’
She concluded: ‘How blessed to get to work alongside my sisters and mom…we really have so much fun together! What a beautiful life!’
On behalf of postpartum moms everywhere…thank you ❤️’ wrote one fan who could identify with Kardashian’s feelings.
Another new mom commented she was ‘Inspiring me to embrace the body that gave me my son ❤️.’
A third raved: ‘This is why you’re the best Kardashian.’
Her longtime pal, Malika Haqq, who use to work as her younger sister Khloe Kardashian’s personal assistant, commented: ‘Beautiful life.’
This year, Kourtney also said that she loves her body the way it is after welcoming Rocky as she hit back at a troll who criticized her new curves.
She declared: ‘I LOVE this body that gave me my 3 big babies and my little baby boy.’
Around the same time, Kourtney also shared her postpartum tips on clothing, hair, make-up and breastfeeding.
‘Getting dressed postpartum while breastfeeding [equals] throwing on an oversized coat, flat shoes pretty much always,’ Kourtney wrote on her Instastory.
‘[I love] leggings, sweats – anything baggy and comfortable aka husband’s vintage T-shirts and Dickies. Anything super fast to throw on. [The] less time away from my baby the better.’
