Rick Ross appeared on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club show this week, and was asked why he has never signed a female rapper to his Maybach Music Group label.
“You know, I never did it because I always thought, like, I would end up fucking a female rapper and fucking the business up,” he said.
“I’m so focused on my business. I just, I gotta be honest with you,” he continued.
“You know, she looking good. I’m spending so much money on her photo shoots. I gotta fuck a couple times.”
The interview was filmed, with the comments coming around 8:45 in the video.
Asked if he would consider signing a “young 17-year-old female” artist, Ross said: “I mean most definitely, if she was a youngster that was bringing something to the table,” drawing attention to his work with Brianna Perry.
Ross made headlines in 2013 for a verse he gave on a remix of Rocko’s ‘U.O.E.N.O.’ that was accused of condoning rape.
Ross rapped: “Put Molly all in the champagne/ She ain’t even know it/I took her home and I enjoyed that/ She ain’t even know it.”
