Cecile and Laurent Landi, renowned for guiding Simone Biles through her historic gymnastics career, are celebrating a different kind of milestone-one achieved by their 17-year-old daughter, Juliette.

While the Landis are widely recognized for their pivotal roles in Biles‘ return to the sport, their focus recently shifted to Juliette as she made a bold move toward her athletic dreams.

On November 14, Cecile took to Instagram to share an exciting announcement: Juliette has committed to Auburn University, where she will join their esteemed diving team.

The proud mother captioned her post, “Tonight, she signed to study and compete at Auburn University! She’ll join the @auburndiving @auburnswimdive team next summer/fall!”

Cecile added, “Since a very young age, growing up in the gym, surrounded by Olympians and NCAA athletes, she’s been dreaming of her own goals. This year, she made those dreams a reality!”

Juliette‘s journey into athletics initially began with gymnastics, inspired by the Olympians her parents coached. However, three years ago, she discovered her passion for diving after trying scuba diving, and the spark was undeniable.

Over time, Juliette made the courageous decision to shift her focus to diving, a move that surprised even her parents.

This summer, Juliette proudly represented France in the synchronized 3m diving event at an international competition alongside her partner, Naïs Gillet. Although the duo scored 240.03 and finished eighth, the experience marked an important milestone in her career.

Despite their busy schedules coaching Simone Biles, the Landis took time to cheer on their daughter, demonstrating the family’s unwavering support for one another.

Cecile shared that Juliette’s accomplishments are a testament to her dedication and determination.

While Juliette‘s initial dreams of becoming a gymnast evolved, her new path reflects her courage to pursue a passion that truly resonates with her.

As Juliette prepares to join Auburn’s diving program, her parents couldn’t be prouder of her achievements.

Cecile summed up her feelings in her post, expressing admiration for Juliette‘s journey: “She’s always carved her own path, and I can’t wait to see what her future holds.”

Juliette‘s transition to diving is a reminder that dreams can change, and success often comes from embracing new opportunities.

For the Landis, watching their daughter thrive in her new chapter is just as rewarding as their own careers in coaching gymnastics greats.
