The actress and her son narrowly avoided a crash while sitting court-side at the Knicks vs. Chicago Bulls match.

Star of New York Knicks OG Anunoby nearly collided with Anne Hathaway and her young son during a game yesterday (13 November).

The actress, who last month confirmed there would be a third installment in the Princess Diaries franchise, was watching the Knicks vs. Chicago Bulls match with Jack courtside when Anunoby collided into a barrier in front of them.

The Devil Wears Prada star then leaped onto the platform to stop his momentum and sent Jack’s popcorn flying into the air.

The youngster looked stunned as Hathaway grinned and stroked his arm to reassure him.

Hathaway remained calm depite her run-in with the star and was pictured smiling afterwards.

Following the almost-collision, MSG analyst Walt Frazier said: “The little kid was mesmerized. He couldn’t move.”

Play-by-play announcer Mike Breen also joked: “There’s always more popcorn, young man.”

Moments prior to the incident, the Oscar winner was seen putting her hand out as she attempted to catch a ball that hurtled towards her.

Social media users joked about the actresses’ near miss, with one fan writing: “I would’ve almost crashed too if I saw Anne Hathaway.”

Another referenced her 2001 film The Princess Diaries, saying: “OG knew he couldn’t hurt the princess of genovia.”

Others quipped that her role as Catwoman in the 2012 film The Dark Knight Rises helped her avoid being crushed.

One said: “Catwoman aint shook.. She wouldve evaded easily..”
