The pop-styled gymnastics show has been a spectacle these past few months. Even Serena Williams had to soak in its electrifying ambiance when she got the chance. Naturally, the preparations to welcome Biles and her posse to her native town had to up the ante. This will be the first time since the Paris Olympics that Houston will be able to watch its homegirl in action, and no stone is being left unturned to ensure Biles feels the warmth.
The official Gold Over America Tour Instagram account shared an adorable video on the platform on October 15 highlighting how Houston is gearing up with all hands on deck. Captioned, “Houston, are you ready to GOAT this weekend?” the post shows Clutch, the Houston Rockets mascot, trying its best to woo Simone with its gymnastics skills.
Trying to show his skills in front of the most decorated gymnast of all time, Clutch can be seen understandably shaky, and he royally messes up on the vault. But his floor routine gives Biles something to smile about and she looks genuinely impressed by his floor pass. But she believes Clutch has a long way to go before he can tour the country with the rest of the gymnasts.
After trying to find some ice for Clutch, Simone once again reminds her fans that the Gold Over America Tour will be hitting the Toyota Center on October 19 in Houston, and they should mark their calendars. So far, the actions of the shows have been titillating, and we daresay Biles will have something special planned for the folks over at her hometown to make them feel part of her journey.
