The eldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife, Vanessa Trump, has already amassed a huge 1 million followers on TikTok. She has barely 23 videos posted on her social media channel. But her updates have garnered 11.4M likes already.

Comparably, Paige Spiranac is a veteran of the game. She has been active on TikTok for quite some time now. But her TikTok handle boasts 1.6 million followers with 11 million likes on aggregate. Evidently, Kai Trump has skyrocketed to fame in a short period. The youngster has barely graduated from Benjamin School, the same institution that Tiger Woods’s two children, Charlie and Sam, call their alma mater. In fact, she is in the field for the State Championship, carding 9-over 80 in the first round.

But Kai Trump’s popularity is not altogether surprising given the turn of events in the last few months. Firstly, her appearance at the Republican Convention in July and her short but impactful speech catapulted her to fame. Secondly, she has also collaborated with a handful of golf YouTubers, most recently with Garret Clark of GM Golf. They competed in an 18-hole match.

The 17-year-old also posts regularly on social media. Snippets from her practice round and updates on tournament victories have reached a sizable audience. Most recently, she posed with the district champions trophy, which was also shared by her father. That post received comments from notable persons across the socio-political spectrum.

Of note is her recent foray into YouTube. She started with a video of a day in her life, which garnered over 1 million views. That was topped by her latest clip on Election Night, which has drawn 2 million views so far.

So, it’s not hard to fathom why Kai Trump, now a University of Miami student, has become a sensation. While her Instagram followers (549K) lag far behind Pagie Spiranac’s (4M), her TikTok videos are widely loved and shared. Interestingly, she has only one plan for the future. That’s neither politics nor social media influencing.

Before her appearance on Garrent Clark’s channel, Kai Trump also teamed up with Grant Horvat. They teed off in a stroke play match on Trump National. The duo chatted about Trump’s assassination attempt and what it’s like to play golf with the president-elect. The conversation also turned toward her future goal. Asked about an entry into politics, she had an emphatic no for an answer.

Clarifying further, the 17-year-old said, “I stay out of that and just focus on golf.” Her dream is to earn an LPGA Tour card. It’s a long way to go, but joining the Miami Hurricanes was a logical next step. She has already received high praise from US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau and World Long Drive champ Kyle Berkshire, who praised her hard work and ‘pure’ swing. Reportedly, Kai Trump plays with a 2.8 handicap. How her career pans out and in which direction remains to be seen.
