The Biles family has gymnastics running through their veins. Simone Biles—the goat herself—paved the way, followed by her sister Adria and now her niece, Ronni Biles, who’s already showing her own love for the sport. “Baby Biles” idolizes her legendary aunt, and that admiration is clear from the countless social media posts her mom shares. She had taken her first flight when she was barely nine months old to witness her great aunt at the mat for the first time ever in the 2023 US Championships.

After that, her mother announced on her social media that they’ll be taking her to Paris too with an Instagram video that showed Ronni admiring herself wearing a replica of her aunt’s leotard. The caption read, “POV: that feeling when you will be in Paris this week & going to the FREAKING Olympics to cheer on TT🥳🤪🥹😍”. Even during Simone’s Olympic performances, Ronni could often be seen cheering her on in a matching leotard, fueling her dream to follow in her aunt’s footsteps. Thus, gymnastics seemed like the future for her.

But now, it looks like Ronni Biles isn’t sticking to just gymnastics! This spring, she’s ready to swap her leotard for a soccer jersey, as the two-year-old is set to join a Soccer Shots program for kids aged 2 to 8. Her mom recently shared the news on Instagram, saying, “Ronni is signed up for soccer in the spring. This could be a huge hit or an epic eee. Hopefully she plays nice with others.” With her natural athleticism and Simone as her inspiration, it’ll be exciting to see if she brings the same spark to the soccer field! But the decision still seems surprising, as she had already started taking her first steps toward becoming a gymnast.

After witnessing her TT confirm her ticket to the Paris Olympics, Baby Biles’ love for the sport increased to a huge extent. This made her decide that she would like to follow in her footsteps. Thus, she put on her GK leotard again and started training at her grandparents’ gym, the World Championship Centre in Texas. Sammi Biles, her mother, posted pictures of her taking part in the sport that her aunt has already conquered.

The caption of the Instagram post Sammi uploaded read, “The way she is so intrigued by this sport at such a young age is so special for many reasons.” She continued, “WCC’s littlest elite/honorary member is kidding but ahhh so adorable.” Simone Biles’ niece had fallen so in love with the sport, she was skipping things normal children do, like cartoons, to watch gymnastics instead!

In another Instagram post, her mother showed Baby Biles mimicking her aunt while watching her perform on television. “Anyone else’s 1.5-year-old skipping cartoons for @USAGym?! Or just ours 😆 not complaining one bit,” read the caption. Thus, after all this, the decision to suddenly join a soccer program might seem a bit sudden. But maybe the athleticism built by her in WCC might help her immensely in kicking the ball and dribbling through her opponents! Time will tell. For now, Ronnie is happy being a fan and adoring her legendary aunt.

Baby Biles spent time with her beloved aunt Simone Biles during GOAT’s Houston Leg

Simone Biles arrived in Houston for the GOAT tour show on October 19th. Everyone was excited to see the prodigal daughter return home after his victory at the Olympics. However, none could match the enthusiasm of Baby Biles finally seeing her aunt again. Sammi Biles recorded the video of the child walking towards the Toyota Center to watch the show and catching a glimpse of Simone Biles on the big screen.

When asked who she was, Baby Biles replied joyfully, “TT!”. Her mother also encouraged her excitement as she chanted, “TT go! TT go!” Sammi replied by clapping her hands joyfully. During the show, while everyone’s eyes were fixated on the stage, Ronnie’s eyes were somewhere else.

As she sat on her father’s lap in a video shared by her mother, she looked everywhere to get a better look at Simone Biles. In the end, it was an exciting experience for Baby Biles watching her aunt perform in a concert made mainly for children. It probably inspired her even more to get into sports. Whether that is gymnastics or soccer, is a different conversation.
