Beyoncé fans are convinced that husband Jay-Z had tried to warn her about an awkward wardrobe malfunction ahead of her acceptance speech at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

The 43-year-old singer took to the stage at Los Angeles‘ Crypto.com Arena on Sunday evening after winning Best Country Album for her record Cowboy Carter, but suffered a rather embarrassing outfit gaffe.

As Beyoncé gave a heartfelt speech to the star-studded crowd, eagle-eyed viewers noticed that the underwire of her stunning Schiaparelli gown was poking out – and looked rather uncomfortable.

Singer Chauntee Ross was quick to spot the malfunction and posted a video about it on TikTok, which has since been viewed 1.9 million times.

In the 17-second clip, Chauntee zooms in on her television screen and Beyoncé’s cleavage and shouted: ‘Who dressed her? Her bra wire’s popping out!’

Many were quick to comment on the post, as one person claimed: ‘As someone who makes dresses I immediately saw that the dressmaker forgot to do the few top stitches after inserting wires.’

‘I felt so bad for her!! We’ve all been there girl but not on the Grammys,’ another TikTok user said.

But fans are convinced that the hitmaker was aware of the mishap – and husband Jay-Z had even tried to warn her about it when he whispered something in her ear before she went onstage.

Beyoncé was seen attempting to subtly adjust her gold dress, but unfortunately the white underwire was still on show as she accepted her accolade from Taylor Swift.

Posting a short clip of the moment on X, formerly Twitter, someone wrote: ‘JAY-Z telling his wife Beyoncé that the underwire of her bra was showing before she went on stage.’

Others were quick to comment on the video as one person said: ‘That’s real love always looking out for each other.’

A second wrote, ‘Jay-Z always got her back! True partnership goals,’ and a third said: ‘That’s a good husband.’

A fourth X user added: ‘Love that. He is looking out for her and wants her to look her best.’

Someone else said: ‘The entire family understands the assignment when is comes to her and I love it.’

And another person claimed: ‘He was just making sure she didn’t have a nip slip.’

It comes after many people claimed Beyoncé’s big win at the annual event was ‘rigged’ and once again referenced Jay-Z, who lambasted the Recording Academy industry at the 2024 ceremony after his wife failed to win an award.
