We were treated to a whole load of celebrity appearances during Sunday’s eagerly-awaited Super Bowl (9 February) – but it was seemingly Anne Hathaway who stole the show.
The likes of Taylor Swift, Pete Davidson, Zac Efron, and Bradley Cooper – just to name a few – were in attendance during the major sporting event, but it’s clear there was one celeb in particular people were beyond buzzing to catch a glimpse of.
None other than Anne Hathaway could be seen cheering on the winning team, the Philadelphia Eagles, who took home the victory against the Kansas City Chiefs with a 40-22 score, and the viral moment has all her fans saying the same thing.
Fans rushed to social media to share their reactions to the clip, namely stating just how obsessed they were with the Hollywood A-lister.
One Twitter user declared: “Anne Hathaway is the type of woman you go to war for!”
“My girl Anne Hathaway cheering for Eagles!! I love to see it!!” gushed a second, while a third chimed in: “Anne Hathaway an Eagles and Arsenal fan. She’s never been wrong a day in her life!”
A fourth beamed: “Anne Hathaway is everything!”
“They should keep the camera on Anne Hathaway the rest of the game!” urged another while a final Twitter user echoed: “Anne Hathaway rooting for the Eagles?! I see you boo!”
Not every celeb received the same warm reception as the 42-year-old The Devil Wears Prada actress though as Taylor Swift, for example, was met with an eruption of boos when she appeared up on the jumbotron.
While the 35-year-old ‘Karma’ singer handled the incredibly awkward situation like a pro, it’s clear she was made to feel super uncomfortable and confused by the ordeal, hence why she mouthed: “Wait…what is going on?”, according to a lip reader.
Anne Hathaway was sported cheering on the Eagles during the Super Bowl final.
Donald Trump became the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl yesterday, but fans couldn’t make out if the POTUS was met with cheers or boos.
There was a lot of talk as to whether Kendrick Lamar would perform his Grammy-winning ‘Not Like Us’ in light of Drake’s lawsuit. As we all suspected he would, he went ahead – but censored the track’s most controversial line which called Drake a ‘certified paedophile’.
One person few people expected to turn up during Kendrick Lamar’s set was Serena Williams, with the tennis star doing a ‘crip walk’ dance at the corner of the stage.
