The rapper recently appeared on Instagram Live with a producer that informed Rozay that he already has production ready for him to rap over. “I got some records for you. I’ll send some sh*t over,” the boardsman tells Ross, who responds by expressing his preparedness and eagerness to collaborate with the musician.

When asked what he’s currently working on, the Miami native teased a project that he says exudes “African vibes” and is already in the works.

“Ah, man, you know what we doing,” Ross began. “For one, we putting together a project just with amazing African vibes. That’s what we really doing right now. We done collaborated with a lot of different dudes. Music vibes, producers.”

The MMG founder also inferred that the producer on the livestream would be involved in the project, relaying that they’ll be in communication via email for further updates. “You know, most definitely need some of that smoke from you on there,” the 48-year-old said, adding, “We might have to come up with a dance” before doing a quick swaying motion in the clip. “One time for Ghana,” the rapper said upon the proposal of a toast of alcohol.

In November 2023, Rick Ross teamed up with MMG underboss Meek Mill on their collaborative album Too Good To Be True, which included features from Future, Fabolous, Teyana Taylor, DJ Khaled, Wale, The-Dream, French Montana, Shaquille O’Neal, Dame D.O.L.L.A. and more. The album marked Rozay’s lone full-length musical drop since 2021, when his eleventh studio album, Richer Than I Ever Been, was released.
