Coronavirus isolation measures have already resulted in a spike in domestic violence attacks around the world.

So far countries including New Zealand, France, China and the United Kingdom have also seen a jump in the number of cases reported to police after lockdown.

‘Being stuck inside their home is the worst possible outcome for victims of domestic violence,’ Ms Foster, a member of the Australian domestic violence advisory group, told Daily Mail Australia.

Generous: Jack announced on Tuesday in a thread that he will donate around 28 percent of his wealth to aid efforts during the global pandemic and will now make his donations all public

‘That’s the thing abusers want, to be isolated at home with their victim and cut them off from any supports.

‘This is such an unprecedented time… but of everything we know the worst thing you can do is require a domestic violence victim to be isolated with their abuser.’

This latest donation is just the latest generous contribution from Dorsey.

Earlier in the week, he donated a billion dollars to coronavirus relief efforts through his philanthropic fund.
