Rick Ross Accused Of Lying About How Long He Worked As A Correctional Officer

Rick Ross has been very vocal lately as he and Drake’s relationship continues to spiral into a mess. The Florida rapper was recently called out for allegedly lying about how long he was a correctional officer in the past.

1090 Jake, a popular internet personality, posted paperwork on Instagram that shows the Department Of Corrections employed the “Imma Boss” rapper in his home state for a year and a half. One document showed what appeared to be a signature from Ross dated Dec. 29, 1995. The second document showed that he handed in his notice that he was leaving on June 2, 1997.

Jake also shared a document recognizing the Port Of Miami 2 rapper for perfect attendance in September 1996. Jake began researching Ross’ past life in defense of Drake. “Since he keep callin @champagnepapi a Whiteboy He woke the Real Whiteboy up [laughing emoji]” Jake wrote. “yall want this video?. He said he only lasted 4 months but the paperwork says 95-97 with a Perfect Attendance lmk.”

Rick Ross countered 1090 Jake’s accusations by digging up his police paperwork and claiming that the internet personality was a “rat.” While Jake’s effect on Ross’ perception remains to be seen, Drake seemingly supports his efforts, as he followed him on Instagram.

Rozay previously spoke about his past as a correctional officer, which was first brought up by 50 Cent in the 2000s. “Maybe when I was 20,” he told Full Send in 2022. “I didn’t really get to make it to the prison ’cause you gotta go through training and all that, and I didn’t last long. I may have lasted four months and they said I was a lil’ tardy.”

This revelation was odd, given the fact he had previously admitted to working as a correctional officer for 18 months. Ultimately, he did not like the little money he made and the fact that the job required so much exercise, so he quit.

Rick Ross’ past became a hot topic this past weekend after Drake’s diss track “Push Ups” leaked. “Ni**as really got me out here talkin’ like I’m 50, ayy/ Ni**as really got me out here rappin’ what I’m livin’/ I might take your latest girl and cuff her like I’m Ricky/ Can’t believe he jumpin’ in, this ni**a turnin’ fifty/ Every song that made it on the chart, he got from Drizzy/ Spend that lil’ check you got and stay up out my business,” he rapped.

Ross fired back hours later with “Champagne Moments,” a track where he called the 6 God “white boy” repeatedly, accused him of getting nose surgery and a BBL, and claimed that he sent a cease & desist to French Montana to remove a verse from his latest album Mac & Cheese 5.

People first thought the two had issues after Rozay shared a video listening to Kendrick Lamar’s “Like That” verse, but neither of the “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” rappers addressed one another. Now, they are fully engaged in a back-and-forth, all while Drake also fights off Metro Boomin, Future, and others.
