Rick Ross unintentionally made a huge splash after he suffered an epic diving fail at his palatial pool in Georgia over the weekend.

Video captures the rapper confidently preparing for the ‘Double Decker Slapper’ on his diving board – before clumsily tumbling into the pool and drawing groans from party attendees who all witnessed the fumble.

While the mishap resulted in a knee injury, Ross took the whole thing in stride as he hilariously reacted to the diving fail on social media.

Speaking with fans, Ross, whose mansion landed in headlines in March due to issues with his buffalo, said his ‘knee caught a flat’ as he attempted to explain what exactly happened.

‘I’m getting all the DMs this morning. “Rozay I saw you do your dive. Are you okay?” Well Imma be honest. Am I okay? Of course not. I blew my tire. I blew my tire.

‘I got on the stage, I was feeling the energy, all the support from all the baddies, the biggest pool in the country. And I told, I gave everyone my word I would do the Double Decker Slapper.

‘I said that on my story earlier this week, the Double Decker Slapper. What is that? Who knows. I’ve never heard of it. I made it up on the diving board. I did a double bounce, and boy my knee caught a flat.’

Fans praised Ross as they reacted to his explanation on social media.

Rick moved into his sprawling 109-room Georgia mansion in 2014, paying $5.8 million for the compound at auction.

The property used to belong to boxing icon Evander Holyfield but eventually fell into foreclosure – whereupon it was snaffled up by Rick, who in 2020 added 87 acres to his estate for an additional $1 million.

In March, Ross and his home sparked controversy when his buffalo roamed off his estate and onto a neighbor’s property.

The woman informed TMZ that in the space of the past week, both animals managed to make their way onto her land.

She noted that she was concerned about her young children’s safety in light of the massive beasts escaping from Rick’s 235-acre spread.

In a Facebook statement, the local sheriff’s office admonished livestock owners that they are ‘responsible for properly restraining the animals’ and could face charges if they neglect to do so.

However Rick breezily advised the public: ‘So when you see my buffalo, give it a carrot. Give it a apple. They so kind. They so peaceful.’

Rick broke his public silence on his Insta Stories, sharing his warm words for the people who helped him get his livestock back.

‘For everybody that’s wanting a statement and a response for my bulls, my cows, couple buffalos that got away in the community, this is my response,’ he began.

‘I always return stray animals. Make sure you always keep a collar on your animal. And mine don’t have a collar ‘cause you know it’s mine,’ Rick pointed out.

‘So when you see my buffalo, give it a carrot. Give it a apple. They so kind. They so peaceful. Thank you everybody for watching. Thank everybody for making sure all of my animals got back into the Promised Land,’ he said.

Without mentioning the public complaint he received, he concluded: ‘All my neighbors, Fayetteville, y’all the best.’

Last March Rick’s partners in his clothing company gifted him a brace of buffalo, who are now part of a menagerie that includes a bull and four horses.

At the time Page Six reported one of the buffalo was a five-year-old weighing 2,000lbs and the other was a one-year-old weighing 700lbs.

The pair of them hit the headlines when the woman who lives behind Rick released a video she took of the buffalo grazing on her lawn.

In the neighbor’s version of events, she attempted to bring the issue to Rick directly but wound up getting mired in an argument with someone on his team.

She claims she then phoned the police, who told her the matter was a civil issue, prompting her to file a neighbor dispute with the municipal government.

Although the police declined to take action on her behalf, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office did put out a Facebook statement detailing its response.

‘The Sheriff’s Office was made aware of the situation and is currently working with the Fayette County Marshal’s Office to remedy the situation,’ it read in part.

‘While it is legal to own livestock (cattle, sheep, horses, goats, etc.), in Fayette County, the owner is responsible for properly restraining the animals. If the owner is shown to be negligent, they could be charged.’

In a striking contrast to Rick’s nonchalant advice on his Insta Stories, the post added that ‘as captivating as these animals are, we encourage everyone to use caution if they were to encounter them. Although they are mostly docile, they can be unpredictable and possibly become aggressive.’
