Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens became the talk of the town in the NFL during the Chicago Bears’ game against the Minnesota Vikings. The gymnast was in the stands during the game, which ended with the Vikings winning 30-27. But during the game, Jonathan did something that both Simone and her fans enjoyed a lot. After he recorded a turnover by stealing the ball from Aaron Jones, he decided to celebrate in the style of a gymnast.
The NFL star threw his arms up in the air as if he were doing a gymnastics dismount. Many lauded this celebration, with Simone Biles herself posting it on her story. The US Gymnastics page also shared the clip of the celebration, saying that the star would get a perfect 10 for his stunt. Thus, it seems that both Jonathan and Simone have become quite popular with the masses and with the Bears fans too. But the gymnast’s plan about another action might make her even more popular with the fanbase. This is because of the empathetic nature of it, where she is thinking of the whole team’s well-being.
As Thanksgiving is around the corner, Simone was asked about her plans for the festival. There, she spoke about a gesture she might do for Jonathan Owens’ teammates. Talking to US Weekly about it, she said, “We’ll just have a chef come and cook,” Biles explained. “I think some of his teammates will come through and grab a plate, especially if they don’t have family in the area. It is a little bit more difficult, but it is kind of nice that we can just relax.”
This is a very heartfelt gesture, as Thanksgiving is known to be a festival where families are meant to be together and nobody should feel alone on the auspicious day.
Thus, the fact that Simone thinks about Jonathan’s other teammates instead of just enjoying her time alone with him shows how empathetic a person she is. It seems to be one of her best qualities. But, before they could celebrate Thanksgiving, Jonathan Owens’ Chicago Bears will have to face the Detroit Lions in a 12:30 ET kickoff. Jonathan will hope for a good performance in the field. On the other hand, Simone should probably touch up on her knowledge about the sport before the game.
In an interview with ET Online, Simone Biles sat with Snoop Dogg to discuss their collaboration on ‘The Voice’. There, while giving the background of the gymnast, the narrator talked about her constant support for her husband. “When she’s not busy working, the 27-year-old gymnast is busy cheering on her husband, who plays for the Chicago Bears, Jonathan Owens,” he said.
To follow up on her support, the host asked Simone Biles about the latest incident during a Chicago Bears game involving Jonathan Owens, where he scored for the team in a vital moment. But the gymnast’s reply was very humorous. “NBC tweeted you after Jonathan scored. I am a little confused about football still, so I’m like, OK, where is he? Is he on yet? And I’m like, Oh, there he is. He’s so cute.” Thus, it seems like the gymnast still doesn’t have too much information about the sport. But, as long as she shows up in the stands to support her husband, the gymnast will get a pass. Plus, winning 11 Olympic medals for the US certainly should give you some leeway.
