プロ野球日本ハム入りが決まった台湾プロ野球統一の古林睿煬投手（24）が26日、台北市内で入団記者会見に臨み、背番号37のユニホーム姿で「環境の変化が最大の挑戦。できるだけ早くチームに溶け込みたい」と抱負を語った。年俸6000万円プラス出来高払いの3年契約。
150キロ超の速球を武器に「火球男」の異名を取る本格派。「日本に踏み出し挑戦するということは、台湾には良い選手を育てる能力があるということだ」と話し、後輩にも自分の挑戦を参考にしてほしいと願った。
会見に同席した日本ハムの栗山英樹チーフ・ベースボール・オフィサーは「世界で通用する投手」を探す中で台湾の逸材に目をつけたと明かし「来季はグーリンが優勝させてくれると信じている」と期待感を示した。（金額は推定、共同）
