Simone Biles cheered on her husband in style over the weekend. The record-breaking Olympic gymnast was in attendance to support her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens, and she did so in a very cute custom varsity jacket.
Simone Biles’s jacket was a black and orange leather varsity jacket with a striped knit collar in alternating black and orange, a pattern that was repeated on the cuffs. One side of the jacket featured the orange Bears logo, and “CHI TOWN” was written in white on the other side. On the back, the word “OWENS” was written in huge orange letters above the number 36, a.k.a. Owens’s jersey number.
Biles styled the jacket with an all-black ‘fit, including a black mock-neck top and black pants, plus sunglasses and a “J” necklace, which looks to be another sweet nod to her husband.
Owens and Biles are each other’s biggest fan. The couple, who married in Mexico in April 2023, are always front row to support one another and often wear themed merch of their spouse, like the “BILES” shirt Owens wore to cheer Biles on in Paris. Owens also has a sweet “S” tattoo on his ring finger as a tribute to his wife.

Custom game gear isn’t a new trend; partners of pro athletes have been customizing their looks for decades, but it’s gotten a big boost from stars like Biles and Taylor Swift, who are often on hand to cheer on their partners wearing head-to-toe team colors. Swift is another varsity jacket fan; she and her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, have matching Chiefs jackets, and she attended the Super Bowl all decked out in “87” merch as an homage to Kelce.
The NFL season has only just begun and there’s lots of time between now and the Super Bowl, which means we’ll be keeping a very close eye on Biles’s gameday looks — and hoping this cute jacket makes another appearance soon.
