Hollywood royalty Anne Hathaway once again showed her loyalties to Arsenal – by filming herself singing the club’s iconic anthem.
But sadly for the Academy Award winner, her fellow Gooners noticed a glaring error during her rendition of Louis Mark Dunford’s ‘The Angel’.

The 42-year-old revealed her love for Arsenal in April 2024 when she celebrated Leandro Trossard’s opener away at Wolves during an interview.
And the American actress was then left ‘shaking’ after receiving a video message from the Belgian forward the following week.
Just last week, Hathaway uploaded an image of herself in the club’s current away kit – welcoming Bukayo Saka back following his recovery from hamstring surgery.
She’s now gone one step further by taking to her Instagram story to belt out the chorus of ‘The Angel’, better known as North London Forever, which has been Arsenal’s anthem since 2022.

Hathaway couldn’t contain her delight following Arsenal’s shock 3-0 thumping over Champions League holders Real Madrid in Tuesday night’s quarter-final first leg tie at the Emirates Stadium.
All things looked fine when she correctly sang the line, ‘North London forever, whatever the weather.”
But unfortunately for Hathaway, she made an error with the next line, as he said: “These streets are our home.”
As any Arsenal fan would you tell you, ‘home’ should have been replaced with ‘own’.

And supporters were quick to take to social media to comment on the mistake, as one X user posted: “The streets are our own, not home.”
While another added: “The streets are our own and not home. Lovely tho.”

Hathaway then proceeded to give a special shoutout to Declan Rice, who banged in two stunning free-kicks, along with fellow goalscorer Mikel Merino.
Midway through the chorus, she stopped to say: “Declan is the man of the game.”
She then later added: “Congratulations lads, especially Rice, especially Merino, especially Rice again!”
Despite her minor slip-up, the vast majority of Arsenal fans were left chuffed that the A-list celebrity embraced the club’s anthem.
One supporter messaged: “Anne Hathaway is now my favourite actress.”
Another commented: “Can I love Anne Hathaway any more than I do?”

This user then simply stated: “Give her a statue.”
For Hathaway – and Gooners across the globe – they will be hoping their first leg heroics prove not to be in vain.
Arsenal face Los Blancos in the return leg at the Bernabeu next Wednesday, where they are looking to book their first semi-final spot in Europe’s premier competition since the 2008/09 season.
