Whoopi scores $40k goodie bag and notorious rapper parties with bevy of women: Behind the scenes on Hollywood’s glitziest weekend

By Diana Cooper For Dailymail.Com,

Before the Oscars kicked off on Sunday and the biggest stars in Hollywood walked the red carpet, there was a ton of exclusive pre-Oscars events and parties that took place where stars were gifted thousands of dollars worth of free products and had the chance to socialize and let loose before the awards were announced.

DailyMail.com got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at places where Chris Brown was seen partying and where Chris Rock dined before the Academy Awards.

Hours before Hollywood’s finest descended upon the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California, a source told DailyMail.com that Chris Rock was having breakfast at the iconic Chateau Marmont where he dined with a group of male companions.

Chris, 60, made his first appearance at Vanity Fair’s Oscars Afterparty since the infamous Will Smith slap three years ago. He attended the star-studded event with his 20-year-old daughter, Zahra Savannah Rock, on Sunday night.

While the comedian was enjoying breakfast at the celeb hotspot – where a bagel and lox costs $30 – preparations were underway for the Netflix Oscars after party.

The Chateau Marmont is also where Jay-Z and Beyonce’s Oscars after party took place, which was attended by Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet.

On Saturday night, A-listers stayed out late partying at exclusive parties around Los Angeles before the big day. The Hills especially was popping as fans flocked to stand outside of gated mansions to get a glimpse of their favorite stars.

At Darren Dzienciol’s annual pre-Oscars Party presented by Utopia at the famous Sheats-Goldstein estate – which is estimated to be worth $75 million – celebrities like Chris Brown, Amber Rose, Bruno Mars, Landon Barker and Shaboozey made an appearance.

The elegant affair, which benefitted Global Empowerment Mission LA Wildfire Relief and was sponsored by El Cristiano tequila, featured a DJ set by Diplo.

While Amber showed up looking unrecognizable with long blonde hair, her rumored ex-fling Chris Brown was at a separate VIP table partying with a bevy of girls, an insider told DailyMail.com.

The insider noted that he was ‘getting touchy all night with one mystery woman in particular.’

‘Chris was paying most attention to one woman who had curly black hair and appeared in her 20s. She was wearing a mini skirt and halter top.

‘She put her hands on his face at one point as if she was going to lean in for a kiss, but he was careful not to be caught kissing anyone because there were photographers inside the party,’ the insider dished.

‘It was very obvious they were very into each other and were caught holding hands and smiling ear to ear.’

Despite being surrounded by a bevy of girls, the singer paid most attention to one mystery woman who he partied with until 2am, according to an insider

The singer left the party around 2am, per the insider, and exited with a group of women, including the woman he was ‘flirtatious with all night.’

Aside from pre-Oscars parties that took place throughout the weekend, there were various gifting lounges – but this year in particular wasn’t all about gifting free trips and products to stars, it was also about giving back to those affected by the fires.

Beginning on Thursday, Oscars nominees were invited to the gifting lounge Enchant presented by The Marianna Group and in partnership with the Kiss My Paws Animal Rescue where stars were gifted a two-night stay at Laguna Beach’s luxury hotel La Casa Del Camino and an exclusive piece of art by Canadian artist Dean Stanton.

On Friday, stars like The Office’s Kate Flannery and Iron Man’s Shaun Toub stopped by Debbie Durkin’s annual ECOLUXE Film Awards Luxury Lounge at a residence in Beverly Hills that benefitted LA Fire victims and firefighters and Marley’s Mutts Dog Rescue Ranch.

Guests were treated to a portrait shoot with celebrity photographer David Christopher Lee, culinary creations by Chef Denise Smith, 30-minute body sculpting treatments from UltraSculpt’s CEO Dr. Joanne Jiang and B12 shots by Drip IV Therapy.

To continue the VIP treatment, stars walked away with a voucher for a complimentary luxury ride with Lima Concierge, worth over $1,000 per day.

Over at the Beverly Wilshire, GBK Brand Bar, MEND, Bodywell and KC Chic Designs in partnership with Americares hosted their annual pre-Academy Awards Luxury Lounge.

Invited guests were gifted over $40,000 in luxury gifts – such as gourmet food by California Caviar Company and wine infused jams by Jam Vino – and trips to places like Turks & Caicos through Sailrock Resorts.

Celebrities like Whoopi Goldberg, Tom Sandoval, Lance Bass, Christopher McDonald and Neil Patrick Harris, who attended the suite, were also given the opportunity to participate in a “Giving Suite” to assist the victims of the Los Angeles fires.

At the Luxe Sunset Boulevard hotel, Nathalie Dubois hosted The DPA Diamond Lounge – famously attended by Meghan Markle years ago – which featured 32 international brands in five different suites.

Tess Mann Atelier was on hand to loan their exquisite gowns to celebrities to walk the Oscars red carpet on Sunday and Yacht Club Access, a luxury swim and resort brand, was on hand to gift their Yoga and activewear for the ultimate comfort post-awards.

Dubois Pelin and Associates (DPA) donated a space in the gift suite to support This Girl Walks Into a Bar cocktails mixers brand, which is owned by two sisters – one of whom lost her home in the fires.

Plus, Pearson Brothers Winery had a pop up for guests to taste their sparkling wine crafted from wildflower honey.

Over at The Godfrey Hotel Hollywood, stars like Cynthia Bailey from The Real Housewives of Atlanta attended the 2nd Annual Gurus Magazine pre-Oscar Retreat presented by Derek Warburton.

Celebs were treated to spa services including massages, facials and Botox.

While indulging in self-care, they could also give back to Habitat for Humanity by painting messages of hope on ceramic seedling pots for families entering new homes.

The ultimate beauty retreat was hosted by Clean Living Magazine on Saturday at a $65 million mansion in Bel Air where the Mediterranean-style home had various vendors set up to gift guests and introduce them to their luxury brands.

Stars were gifted products from brands like PoolBar London sunscreen – prior to its release in the US – Astor & Orion, ethically made modern jewelry, and Ilcsi, natural skincare products made of ingredients grown organically in Europe.

On Sunday, there were various Oscars viewing parties throughout LA, including Charmaine Blake PR’s at Sofitel hotel and Jonathan Baker’s held at his home – the iconic estate in Beverly Hills formerly owned by Warren Beatty and Annette Bening.

The party attended by stars from Netflix’s Sweet Magnolias honored the legendary actor Donald Sutherland with the special Icon Award from the French Riviera Film Festival, which was accepted by the Honorable Consul General of Canada in Los Angeles, Zaib Shaikh, on the late actor’s behalf.
