Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are big-time pet parents, that is no hidden secret. Owning three dogs as of right now, the couple keeps posting their mischief and wholesome moments on their Instagram. Dressing them in Owens’ NFL jersey or Santa costumes under the Christmas tree, the dogs live the life any human kid would have. Biles in one of her interviews has even said, “My dogs have made my life better significantly.” Biles, her husband, and their three dogs are one happy family. This family of 5 might soon be getting one member bigger, as Jonathan Owens made an announcement. What’s that?
The Instagram story of @regalempiredobermans, a veteran-operated kennel whose sole purpose is to produce the finest Dobermans worldwide, posted a story on March 30, 2025, posting a photo of Biles and Owens’ wedding. The story read, “Congratulations to @jowens & @simonebiles. They will be getting their Regal Empire Doberman later this year.” This was confirmed when Jonathan Owens himself reposted the story. So a Doberman would be soon joining the French Bulldogs.
Out of three Bulldogs owned by the family, two of them belong to Simone. Named Lilo and Rambo Biles, the two of them call themselves “Texas living trouble makers” over their Instagram. Yes, the Bulldogs have an Instagram account!!! It goes by the username of thebilesfrenchies. Owens’ dog is not socially awkward either, to begin with, he is named after the King of Gods in Greek mythology, Zeus.
The dogs are a very important part of the couple’s life, especially Biles who has been very vocal about how the dogs support her. In an interview with Nulo (a pet food company), “Being an elite athlete puts a lot of stress and pressure on you, and I got Lilo and Rambo for emotional support and to be a companion through all of my ups and downs.”
We are all very well aware of her struggles with mental health, right? She even had to drop off the Olympics, citing that. So the next time she went to the Olympics in 2024, team USA made sure that she had a therapist by her side. A golden retriever named Beacon was Team USA’s therapy dog, but he couldn’t make it to Paris because of logistical issues.
After two years of marriage and constant wait, Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens finally had their long-due honeymoon. Dwelling in the scenic beauty of South Africa the couple went through safaris, having close encounters with an elephant. The Queen of Gymnastics also had an encounter with the King of the Jungle. The couple also went to a daycare center that serves 87 local children. Now back home from the honeymoon, Biles shared a few snapshots from their busy last two months.
On March 28, 2025, Biles made a post on her Instagram captioned, “Just checking in 🤎.” She shared a picture of herself in a cowboy outfit and a picture of the two of them in a cowboy outfit. There were also some snapshots of the couple’s intimate moments and also a picture of Owens with a goat. A literal goat btw, not the goat of gymnastics.
Owens had a two-emoji reaction to the post. The man dropped two hearts with fire emojis in the comment section, citing, “❤️🔥❤️🔥.” After the trip, he returned to Bears training, and Simone later jetted off for a girls’ trip—the memories lingered.
