Golf Influencer Paige Spiranac Covers Everything You Need To Know About The Driver

Popular golf influencer Paige Spiranac has returned with another one of her weekly “Beginner’s Guide to Golf” tutorial videos. This week she addresses everything you need to know about hitting a driver.

“You’ve come this far – now it’s time to get out your driver!” she writes in the video’s description. “I cover everything you need to know about hitting the most intimidating club in your bag.”

Everything? We’ll see about that.

“This is the big dog, as they like to call it,” Paige Spiranac begins. “And as you can see, it has the biggest head.

“And I’ve been hitting it a little bit on the heel, so I’m going to clean this off so you can’t see all my mishits. Because I’m supposed to be the expert here.

“So now you can see the face, and quite a bit of a bigger face. Because you’re swinging this much harder and faster, and it’s also a longer club, that sometimes it is harder to hit.

“Shorter clubs with more loft are easier to hit. Longer clubs like a driver with a faster swing speed are harder to hit because your mishits go further right or left.

“Again, same setup where you have the hosel, the shaft, and the club head. But this is the driver, and this is usually everyone’s most favorite club in the bag.”

“You will only hit your driver off of a tee,” Spiranac continued. “And you’re like, ‘Paige, what’s a tee?’ Well, this is a tee. A tee is what you tee up your golf ball [on]. And so for irons and wedges you don’t normally tee them up unless you’re on a par three, but we’re going to talk about the course very soon.

“But with a driver, because it’s such a large face, you need to actually tee the ball up. Because if it’s on the ground you’ll be hitting it too high. So the tee helps you make solid contact and again, hit it farther.”

Dang, she even explained what a tee is. Not bad, Paige, Not bad.
