Legendary golfer Tiger Woods and his 15-year-old son Charlie Woods led a star-studded practice group at Pinehurst ahead of this week’s US Open in North Carolina.
Joining the Woods’ duo were Rickie Fowler, Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas, all getting strokes in three days before the first round of golf’s next major tournament.
Woods is still the biggest name in golf whenever he competes and inspired many of the current top stars to get into the sport.
The 48-year-old Woods missed the cut at golf’s most recent major tournament after a disastrous PGA Championship second round last month at Valhalla.
Woods has not won a major tournament since the 2019 Masters. His second-most recent was the 2008 US Open at Torrey Pines.

Of the professionals to join Woods, only Fowler has never won a major tournament.
Thomas has won two, the 2017 and 2022 PGA Championships. Spieth has three major victories, and is only a PGA Championship victory short of the career grand slam.

Fowler has a top-three finish at each major tournament, but none have come since 2018.
Thomas has the best odds from the group to win the tournament at +4000, per DraftKings.
Spieth is second from the foursome at +5500.
Fowler has the second-longest odds from the star-studded group, with a significant drop at +15000.
Woods’ odds has a steep from the rest of his practice group at +25000.

That dream ended when the 15-year-old Woods shot a 9-over, 81 at an April event in Florida, finishing in 61st place out of 74 competitors.
Only the top five golfers advanced in the event, giving the impression the younger Woods is still a few years away from a possible pro career.
German golfer Martin Kaymer won the US Open the last time it was played at Pinehurst in 2014.
