“I promise I’ll catch them all.” Blue Fox Ent. & Capelight Pictures have revealed the official US trailer for an action movie from Korea titled The Roundup: Punishment, which is the fourth movie in The Roundup series. It first launched with The Outlaws in 2017, continuing with The Roundup (2022) and The Roundup: No Way Out (2023) and now this one is ready to rock. As Detective Ma Seok-do pursues a drug trafficking app’s elusive developer, he uncovers a deadly link to a vast online gambling syndicate (in the world of cyber crime), triggering an unprecedented alliance to take down the masterminds. The Roundup: Punishment was directed by Heo Myeong-haeng, a stunt choreographer who also worked on Don Lee’s breakout hit Train to BusanThe Roundup 4 stars Korea’s favorite Don Lee returning as Ma Seok-do, plus Kim Moo-yulPark Ji-hwan, and Lee Dong-hwi. This has also received some positive reviews like the other three, with critics saying it “delivers all the open-hand slaps, booming punches, and flying knees to the head you want.” Time to catch up with all four movies! Or just watch this one and enjoy it anyway when it lands in theaters soon.

During the investigations of a drug trafficking app, the Monster Cop Ma Seok-do (Don Lee) and his team discover a connection between the wanted app developer, who was killed in the Philippines, and a massive illegal online gambling organization. Meanwhile in the Philippines, Baek Chang-gi, a former elite soldier, has been controlling the Korean online illegal gambling market, terrorizing it with kidnappings & murder. His partner, IT genius CEO Chang Dong-chul, plans an even larger scheme in Korea. To put an end to the escalating threat, Detective Ma expands the operation by proposing an unexpected alliance to Jang: the biggest roundup mission to hunt criminals, collaborating with the Cyber Unit & Metro Investigations. The Roundup: Punishment, also known as Beomjoedosi4 or 범죄도시4 in Korean, is directed by Korean stuntman / filmmaker Heo Myeong-haeng, a stunt coordinator making his feature directorial debut with this film and Badland Hunters (also out this year). The screenplay is written by Sang-ho Oh. Produced by Don Lee, Kim Hong-baek, and Billy Acumen. It premiered at the 2024 Berlin Film Festival earlier this year.
