Anne Hathaway joined a bevy of A-list attendees and celebrity guests at Super Bowl LIX on Sunday in New Orleans. The Oscar-winning actress watched as the Philadelphia Eagles defeated 2024 Super Bowl champions the Kansas City Chiefs 40 to 22 at Caesars Superdome.
For the sporting event, Hathaway opted to merge two distinct styles — preppy-chic and sporty-spectator. The actress seamlessly brought the two styles together, wearing a sleeveless cream cotton top with buttons running down the front placket. Hathaway paired the look with high-waisted bottoms. Over her cream cotton top, Hathaway wore a green sweater, which was draped over her shoulders. The sweater’s hue was a sartorial homage to the Philadelphia Eagles, whose team colors include midnight green, white, black, and silver.
Hathaway’s connection to the Philadelphia Eagles runs deeper than just fandom. The actress’ grandfather was Joe McCauley, a radio personality who hosted a show in the 1950s and 1960s for WIP-FM, a station dedicated to Philly sports.
The actress wasn’t the only star to show her team support through a sartorial statement. Ice Spice, seated alongside Taylor Swift during the Super Bowl, styled a look that paid homage to the Kansas City Chiefs colors of red and gold. The artist wore a Silence + Noise white button-up shirt with a pair of white Daisy Duke shorts. Beneath her unbuttoned top, Ice Spice wore the Victoria’s Secret Dream Angels Twinkle Strap Lace Classic-Coverage Demi Bra in a shade of red for an added pop of color and a sultry addition to her ensemble.
Taylor Swift showed her support for the Kansas City Chiefs — and one player in particular — during the game. The Grammy Award-winning singer wore her “T” chain necklace, which she’d previously styled with her dress at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Feb. 2. Swift has been in a relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce since September 2023.
The Super Bowl LIX, the NFL’s championship game for the 2024 season, took place on Sunday at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. This marks the 11th time New Orleans has hosted the Super Bowl, tying with Miami for the most by any city. Kendrick Lamar performed at the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX halftime show.
